Technology Product Marketer

I have had the privilege of working with technology at three fascinating levels. At IBM, I helped clients harness raw computing power for their toughest challenges. Microsoft showed me how data platforms can reshape how businesses work. At GitHub, I got to focus on making developers more productive and creative with their tools. Each step taught me something new about turning technical potential into real-world impact. Every role adds another layer of clarity to the big picture.

With these insights, I lead thoughtful product marketing initiatives across the technology stack. These initiatives focus on strategic growth, technical marketing, and leadership.

Infrastructure & Performance (IBM)

Sometimes technology sounds amazing, but you’re not sure what it’ll actually do for your business. This was the puzzle I solved at IBM. Instead of talking about what our systems can do, I created ways for clients to experience them firsthand. I helped them test our technology with their real business problems, so they see the practical value.

  • Domain skill: Infrastructure
  • Product knowledge: IBM Z Systems, IBM Power 8 enterprise systems: S822, S822LC for Big Data, S822LC for High Performance Computing, E870, E880.

Enterprise Data & Cloud Platforms (Microsoft)

As lead product marketing manager for Azure and SQL Server, I bridged traditional databases with emerging technologies. I crafted strategies that helped customers see how SQL Server evolves alongside their big data and open-source needs. This meant telling a compelling story of modernization – one that resonated with both long-time SQL Server users and teams exploring new data platforms.

  • Domain skill: Cloud services, data platforms, security solutions
  • Product knowledge: SQL Server (including Azure SQL DB Edge, SQL Server Big Data Clusters, SQL Server on Linux virtual machines), Azure Arc, Azure Data Studio (modern tool for developers and data professionals)

Developer Experience & AI (GitHub)

As senior product marketing manager at GitHub, I focused on strategies to attract digital natives. Digital natives are customers born in the cloud. I transformed how we positioned our developer platform within Microsoft’s ecosystem. I created integrated stories that showed how GitHub’s tools – from AI-powered development to advanced security – fit naturally into enterprise technology stacks. This work helped technical and business audiences see the full value of GitHub’s innovations, and drove significant enterprise adoption.

  • Domain skill: AI-Assisted Development, Security & DevOps, Enterprise Tools, Platform Strategy
  • Product knowledge: GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Advanced Security, GitHub Advanced Security for Azure DevOps, GitHub Copilot
